abstract | a) einer wäßrigen Dispersion mit einer Viskosität von 20 bis 200 mPa.s, eines oder mehrerer dispergierter Polymerer, die erhalten wurden durch Suspensions- bzw. Emulsionspolymerisation von n2 - 10 Gew.-% Acrylnitril und/oder Methacrylnitril n1 - 3 Gew.-% Acrylamid und/oder Methacrylamid und n87 - 97 Gew.-% eines oder mehrerer Acrylsäureester- und/oder Methacrylsäureester-monomerer, durch b) Zugabe einer derartigen Menge eines mit Wasser nicht mischbaren, die Polymeren anlösenden oder anquellenden Lösemittels, daß die Viskosität auf mindestens das 10⁴-fache der ursprünglichen Viskosität ansteigt und c) gleichzeitigen oder anschließenden Zusatz eines mit Wasser und dem anlösenden oder anquellenden Lösemittel mischbaren Verdünnungsmittel bis zur Erzielung einer Viskosität von 25 bis 1000 mPa.s, wonach d) gegebenenfalls Wasser entfernt wird. Liquid polymer preparations with non-Newtonian flow behavior are described, as are processes for their preparation and coating compositions containing them, which are particularly suitable for multi-layer effect coatings. The liquid polymer preparations are made from a) an aqueous dispersion with a viscosity of 20 to 200 mPa.s, one or more dispersed polymers, which were obtained by suspension or emulsion polymerization of 2-10% by weight of acrylonitrile and / or methacrylonitrile 1-3% by weight of acrylamide and / or methacrylamide and 87-97% by weight of one or more acrylic acid ester and / or methacrylic acid ester monomers, by b) adding such an amount of a water-immiscible solvent which dissolves or swells the polymers that the viscosity increases to at least 10⁴ times the original viscosity and c) simultaneous or subsequent addition of a diluent miscible with water and the solvent or swelling solvent until a viscosity of 25 to 1000 mPa.s is achieved, after which d) water is optionally removed. |
