abstract Homozygous cells are obtained using homologous recombination with a structure comprising a marker gene. The marker gene allows selection without amplification and using high levels of the antibiotic to which said marker gene confers resistance, the gene can be converted, where in another diploid, the two copies of the location target will be similar. In this way, gene interference can be carried out immediately without resorting to two stages of homologous recombination.
