Planar sensors with extended use. |
abstract |
An electrochemical sensor (30, 130) characterized in that it comprises:electrochemical means for detecting an analyte in a sample;an electrolyte (58) provided in at least portions of the said electrochemical means; anda polymeric semipermeable (60) membrane covering the electrolyte, the said membrane comprising a polymerization product of at least one monomer corresponding to the following general formula CH2=C(R1)(COOR2), wherein R1 and R2 are independently selected from hydrogen, hydrocarbon groups and alcohol groups. The sensor components are selected such that a sensor operable for at least 2 days under normal conditions is produced. |
