The invention relates to a process for the oligomerization of C2-C12 alkylene, in which a feedstock containing the alkylene and having a water content of between 0.05 and 0.25 mol%, calculated on the base of the hydrocarbon content of the feedstock, is caused to pass over a zeolite catalyst. This process provides better conversion of alkylene and longer catalyst life compared to processes in which non-hydrated feedstocks are used. |
