Novel adherent and invasive mycoplasma |
abstract |
The invention relates to a novel mycoplasma isolated from the urine of AIDS patients. Mycoplasma has unique morphological and pathobiological properties. The invention also relates to the antigens and antibodies of the new mycoplasma, as well as methods of detection using these antigens and antibodies. From an antigenic and genetic point of view, mycoplasma is distinct from all other known mycoplasmas. The invention also relates to the DNA sequence of the new mycoplasma as well as vaccines against mycoplasma infection. |
