NEW THROMBINE INHIBITORIC PROTEINS FROM LAND BLOOD GELS. |
abstract |
New thrombin inhibitor proteins from leeches of the Haemadipsa species having the following amino acid sequence are described: Ile-Arg-Phe-Gly-Met-Gly-Lys-Val-Pro-Cys-Pro-Asp-Gly-Glu -Val-Gly-Tyr-Thr-Cys-Asp-Cys-Gly-Glu-Lys-Ile-Cys-Leu-Tyr-Gly-Gln-Ser-Cys-Asn-Asp-Gly-Gln-Cys-Ser-Gly -Asp-Pro-Lys-Pro-Ser-Ser-Glu-Phe-Glu-Glu-Phe-Glu-Ile-Asp-Glu-Glu-Glu-Lys, or an amino acid sequence obtained by a terminal shortening C from 1 to 12 amino acids, of this sequence. These proteins are suitable for fighting diseases. The nucleic acids encoding these proteins are further described. |
