Diamond coated products and method of preparation |
| abstract |
A method is described for preparing a diamond coating (32) covering a substrate (10). The first step of the process consists in applying a partial coating of diamond comprising a proportion of voids on the machining surface (15) of a substrate. In a second step, the voids of the partial coating are filled with a binder (25). Then, the thickness of the diamonds which protrude from the binder is increased in order to obtain a covering or a frontal part (36) projecting over this binder to protect it. The invention also relates to certain preferred products made according to this invention. |
