abstract The invention concerns a method for the production of temperature-resistant plastic films on diaphragm-gland surfaces, a plasma or acetylene/oxygen flame being produced from a plasma or flame spray gun which, using a cooling-gas flow of 40 to 150 SLpM, melts a plastic material and sprays it on to the diaphragm-gland surface. Coatings produced by this method have layer structures ranging from impermeable to porous and can be utilized at up to 250 °C when poly(phenylene sulphides) are used as the plastic material.
