abstract | Methods of treating and preventing allergic reactions using misoprostol. Misoprostol used as a pharmaceutical agent comes in aerosol, tablet, topical and parenteral form. Allergic respiratory and skin reactions can be treated, including late phase allergic reactions to dust mites, food products, occupational allergens, polen, drugs, animal dander, and to chemical agents, by means of the agents described containing misoprostol. It is also possible to treat urticaria, contact eczema, constitutional eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis as well as anaphylaxis by means of the methods of the invention and its pharmaceutical agents with misoprostol. |
