titleOfInvention | Medical lavage apparatus and methods |
abstract | Medical washing device (10) for parallel suction and irrigation body cavities (28, 32) provided with integrated pistons (24, 26) extending into cylinder passages from a first end, as well as pairs of non-return valves (102, 106) placed in smaller parallel and offset cylinders located at the second ends, so that the reciprocal movement of each piston in each cylinder functions as a one-way pump. New dome-shaped, non-blocking slotted non-return valves (230) are positioned to function as the pair of non-return valves in the suction cylinder, according to one embodiment, and also in the irrigation cylinders in other embodiments. Dome-shaped valves can be used in other medical fluid control applications. A diaphragm (50) composed of intersecting semi-circular detectors (58, 60) joins the adjacent external ends of the irrigation and suction cylinders with non-return valves so as to allow currents to flow. whole fluid, flowing from these ends, to flow together angularly. |
