titleOfInvention Medical lavage apparatus and methods
abstract Medical washing device (10) for parallel suction and irrigation body cavities (28, 32) provided with integrated pistons (24, 26) extending into cylinder passages from a first end, as well as pairs of non-return valves (102, 106) placed in smaller parallel and offset cylinders located at the second ends, so that the reciprocal movement of each piston in each cylinder functions as a one-way pump. New dome-shaped, non-blocking slotted non-return valves (230) are positioned to function as the pair of non-return valves in the suction cylinder, according to one embodiment, and also in the irrigation cylinders in other embodiments. Dome-shaped valves can be used in other medical fluid control applications. A diaphragm (50) composed of intersecting semi-circular detectors (58, 60) joins the adjacent external ends of the irrigation and suction cylinders with non-return valves so as to allow currents to flow. whole fluid, flowing from these ends, to flow together angularly.
