abstract | A process is disclosed for the preparation of a photosensitive imaging member comprising: (a) providing a photoreceptor substrate wherein the substrate surface is marred by at least one surface blemish; (b) removing at least a portion of the surface blemish when the blemish is a surface height defect, and optionally removing at least a portion of the surface blemish when the blemish is a non-surface height defect; and (c) depositing a layer of metal on the substrate, wherein the metal layer has a surface appearance which conceals at least a portion of the underlying substrate surface blemish remaining after step (b). |
