A phospholipidic composition is described which, in addition to the usual ingredients, contains at least 20% by weight of phosphatidylcholine, at least 20% by weight of N-acylphosphatidylethanolamine and less than 3% by weight of phosphatidylethanolamine.n n n One method of making the phospholipidic composition uses acylated crude lecithin as the starting material and treats this acylated crude lecithin with methanol. After separating off a residue, the phospholipid composition is isolated from the methanol extract. |
