Substituted 4-phenylpyridones and 4-phenyl-2-alkoxypyridines are prepared by reducing corresponding 4-phenylpyridone derivatives and 4-phenyl-2-alkoxypyridine derivatives, respectively. The substituted 4-phenylpyridones and 4-phenyl-2-alkoxypyridines may be employed as active compounds in drugs (medicaments, pharmaceuticals, medicines), in particular for the treatment of hyperlipoproteinaemia. |
