abstract |
A process for obtaining titanium, involving the use of: a material containing titanium and a leaching composition comprising: a source of ammonia or ammonium ions; a source of carbon dioxide or carbon ions; and water. Said method consists in bringing the titanium-containing material into contact with the leaching composition to form an aqueous mud until the appearance of soluble titanium resulting from the leaching, and in isolating the leaching solution containing the titanium resulting from the leaching, thus form. |
