abstract |
A method of inhibiting HIV infection in peripheral blood macrophages as demonstrated by inhibition of HIV p24 antigen expression in infected cells. In this method, infected macrophages are exposed to a composition comprising particles of amphotericin B: cholesteryl sulphate having a molar ratio of between 1:0.5 and 1:4, at a concentration equal to at least about 0, 01 muM of amphotericin B. |
