Method of diagnosing ovarian and endometrial cancer with monoclonal antibodies oxa and oxb |
abstract |
Method for screening for cancer, using an OXA or OXB monoclonal antibody, antibodies which bind to the bound antigen by the OXA or OXB monoclonal antibody, or fragments of the foregoing which bind to the bound antigen by the monoclonal antibody OXA or OXB. The method consists in bringing a sample of a patient's biological fluid into contact with the antibody under conditions allowing this antibody to form a reaction product, then in detecting the presence or absence of reaction products. This method is particularly useful for monitoring the progress of treatment of a patient who has previously been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It is also useful for screening and monitoring endometrial cancer. |
