titleOfInvention | Insulating process for soft magnetic strips |
abstract | An insulation process for soft magnetic semi-finished products is proposed which is based on the use of water-soluble salts of aluminum and / or magnesium. The solution is applied to the semifinished product and magnesium and / or aluminum oxide is only formed by a subsequent heat treatment of the semifinished product at a temperature above the decomposition temperature of the salt. This makes it possible to shape the semi-finished product, eg. B. punching, cutting or parts, before the actually insulating oxide ceramic grain is formed. This reduces tool wear during machining. |
