abstract |
Automated analyzer (10) for computer controlled immunoassays, comprising a display (16) which provides a real-time, easy-to-use presentation of the assay results and the operations performed by the analyzer (10). Samples can be loaded randomly and rearranged before being processed according to the priority determined by the operator. A variable number of different immunoassays can be performed on each sample. The information relating to the sample and the assays to be carried out is collected by a bar code reader (44) and transmitted to the computer (12) which follows the progress of each immunoassay in the reaction circuit (52) until the detection unit (46) in which a linked chemiluminescent mark is detected by a photomultiplier (96). The immunoassay is carried out with a test piece (27) designed to allow washing operations to be carried out by rotating said test piece (27) about its longitudinal axis in order to remove the fluids. |
