Described is a film-coated, recyclable carpet consisting of a carrier material, a pile yarn incorporated therein, a reinforcing and stiffening layer and possibly a second back and is characterized in that the pile yarn, the carrier material and possibly the secondary back consist of polyester fibers, and that he a polyester film with a thickness of 0.04 to 4.0 mm, which is inseparably fused or welded to the carrier layer of the carpet in contact with it in the contact area as the strengthening and stiffening layer.n n n A method for producing the film-coated recyclable carpet is also described. |
