The invention relates to a silicon-enriched aluminide coating for a superalloy article. Said coating has a composite microstructure comprising a plurality of silicon-rich phase bands (S1, S2, S3) and a plurality of aluminum-rich phase bands (A1, A2, A3), these bands being spaced apart in the thickness of the coating. The composite microstructure is created by depositing on the article a mud containing silicon and aluminum in their elementary or partially alloyed form, and by heating the article thus coated, above the melting temperature of aluminum in order to bake said coating, the deposition and baking steps being repeated at least once before the heat treatment by diffusion of the layers thus obtained. All the process steps described above are then repeated at least once more. |
