abstract Block transmitter-receiver module (1), comprising a line transmitter (5) and a receiver equipped with three comparators (RO, ERR1, ERR2) connected to the bus (DATA, D (Boolean not) A (Boolean not) T (Boolean not) A (Boolean not)), the simultaneous reading of this bus by several of these modules being prevented by a bit-by-bit arbitration procedure. The appearance of a possible open circuit on one of the lines of the bus is checked, then the arbitration procedure is completed by an at least partially random procedure for allocating transmission time windows associated with respective modules , after each of the signal blocks transmitted one after the other on the bus, and provided that the latter is subject to the influence of an open circuit. Application: local communication network for motor vehicles.
