2.1. Polyoxymethylene (polyacetal) is an excellent material from which, in particular, stiff everyday objects can be manufactured with great accuracy. However, since polyoxymethylene is sensitive to acids, the object of the present invention is a polyoxymethylene which is stabilized against acids and from which, in particular, fine or filigree moldings can be injection molded.n n n 2.2. By adding melamine cyanurate, polyoxymethylene is stabilized against acid attacks, with in particular less than 3 parts of MCA being effective for 100 parts of POM. The weight loss of a stabilized POM can be less than 3% when exposed to acid compared to an unstabilized POM.n n n 2.3. Areas of application in which the products are exposed to acidic agents, such as irrigation systems, dishwashers, sanitary areas. |
