abstract |
These hydroxylated telechelic polymers consist of homopolymers or random copolymers which are obtained by radical route from at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer M chosen from vinyl and diene monomers and which are terminated in α and ω by hydroxyl groups represented by the formula (I). To prepare them, the polymerization of at least one monomer M is carried out in the presence of the thiuram disulfide of formula (II), then a deprotection reaction of the OH group carried by R¹ is carried out. with R¹ = C₂-C₃ alkylene group; R₂ = C₁-C₁₀ alkyl group, linear or branched, or cycloalkyl or aryl or aralkyl; and R³ = hydroxyl protecting group. |
