titleOfInvention | Method for the preparation of metal nitrides |
abstract | Process for the preparation and recovery of metallic nitride from their ferrometallic alloys and their metallic nickel alloys. The process steps consist in using niobium nitride prepared from ferroniobium alloys which are first hydrided to obtain a crumbly triturable product. The hydride alloy is then loaded by a feed hopper (2) into the reactor (9). The ferroniobium hydride is then nitrided as a nitrogen-containing gas is introduced into the reaction vessel (9) through the inlet port (4). The pressure conditions of the reaction vessel (9) are regulated by a conduit (21) in communication with the pressure release valve (20) and the inlet (15) which possibly leads to a suppression of inert gas such than helium. The conditions of the nitriding step are regulated in order to form distinct phases of iron nitride and niobium nitride, respectively. |
