abstract Use of the elastase inhibitor, 4- (4-chlorophenyl-sulfony (carbamoyl) benzoyl-L-valyl-L-proline 1 (RS) - (1-trifluoracetyl-2-methylpropyl) amide, or a salt pharmaceutically acceptable of this compound, for the treatment of certain vascular affections in which the neutrophils are implied, in particular cardiovascular affections such as myocardial ischemia, cerebrovascular accidents such as attacks, peripheral vascular diseases such as intermittent claudication, as well as for the treatment of lesions due to the restoration of blood circulation such as those associated with vascular reconstruction surgery.
