titleOfInvention NITROGLYCERIN PLATFORM AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME.
abstract The invention relates to a plaster applicable to the skin, for the transdermal administration of nitroglycerin, comprising, in addition to a support sheet and a removable protective sheet, a special adhesive mass containing nitroglycerin, based on a crosslinked copolymer of vinyl acrylate-acetate in which the monomer mixture used for the polymerization contains 21 to 40% by weight of vinyl acetate, 55 to 70% by weight of an alkyl ester of acrylic acid in C2-8 and 3 to 10% in weight of a hydroxyalkylester of C2-4 acrylic acid, and which is crosslinked after incorporation of a common crosslinking agent, complementarily with nitroglycerin, by heating and elimination of the solvents present. The special adhesive mass according to the invention has not only a high absorption capacity, but also a controllable ability to release nitroclycerine, so that for the amount of release required daily, the release surface of the plaster can be small , and therefore the cost of the job is reduced. At the same time, the simple adhesive mass makes it possible to simplify the manufacturing process, to dispense with the addition of other products intended to increase transepidermal transfer, to further reduce the cost of the plaster and to avoid the risks of 'skin irritation.
