abstract |
Heterozygous intersex Phycomyces strains with improved beta-carotene yield and greater stability than both wild-type and heterokaryotic Phycomyces strains. A method for preparing Phycomyces transformants using no selectable markers has also been developed. Further, there has been provided a method for producing beta-carotene consisting in using the intersex heterozygous Phycomyces strains in a submerged culture. |
