abstract A process for recycling a hydroquinone-free black-and-white photographic developer composition comprises the steps of collecting the developer, optionally filtering the collected material, and reconstituting the developer, whereby the spent developer is brought back to substantially the activity of fresh developer having the same composition wherein the recycled developer can be used to process black-and-white photographic materials without adverse effects.
