Preparation having an enzymatic activity and having the capacity to delignify technical cellulose at a temperature of at least 65 ° C and with a pH at least equal to 9. Said preparation can be obtained by aerobic fermentation of a selected layer of Bacillus stearothermophilus among the NCIMB 40221 and NCIMB 4022 strains, as well as among the mutants and variants thereof. The deposited strains NCIMB 40221 and NCIMB 4022, the mutants and the variants thereof are also part of the invention, as well as a process for manufacturing said preparation and a process comprising the treatment of technical cellulose with said preparation. In addition, the invention includes applications of said preparation such as the treatment of technical cellulose and fluff down with said preparation, and paper, cardboard and paper flock produced from technical cellulose treated with said preparation . Also part of the invention are the DNA and RNA strains which recognize the nucleotide sequence coding for a specific amino acid sequence and an antibody which binds to said amino acid sequence. |
