abstract Micropellet cores which contain pancreatin and can be coated with an enteric film and which have a spherical or ellipsoidal shape, where the diameter of the sphere or the minor axis is in the range 0.7-1.4 mm, in particular 0.8-1.2 mm, and which have a particle size distribution in which at least 80 % of the micropellet cores have a ratio of the minor axis to the major axis in the range from 1:1 to 1:2, are described. Also described is a process for the production of these pancreatin micropellets.
