Alkoxylation products suitable as dispersion agents, of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which the variables have the following meaning: A is oxygen or a -CO-O-group if x and y stand for 1, or nitrogen if x + y = 3, B is ethylidene or 1, 2-propylidene; Z is one of the groups <IMAGE> D<(-)> is formate, acetate, propionate or hydroxide; E<(-)> is carboxylate or sulphonate; M is a bridge group for the completion of a pyrrolidone, succinimide or maleimide ring as the group <IMAGE> n is 1 to 50; q is 1 to 4; x and y are 1 or 2 with the proviso that x + y is </= 3; R<1> is C8-C30-alkyl; or if A stands for oxygen; is C4-C12-alkyl-substituted phenyl; R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; R<5> is hydrogen or methyl, a process for their preparation, their use for the dispersion of finely divided solids in fluid media and preparations containing the alkoxylation products. |
