Cell surface receptors homologous to coagulation factors v and viii |
abstract |
We have identified a new class of cellular receptors which are largely homologous but not identical to coagulation factors V and VIII. Amino acid residue sequences specific for the receptor are described. Also described are compositions capable of an immunological reaction with polypeptides containing the identified amino acid residue sequences, as well as related diagnostic procedures. These receptors have been shown to bind to coagulation factor Xa, this binding being inhibited by monoclonal antibodies to the receptors. |
