Anti-laxative agents are incorporated into fat replacement compositions, in order to reduce or eliminate anal losses in mammals of fat replenishing materials, the melting point of which is equal to or less than 37 ° C. In one embodiment of the invention, the anti-laxative agents are emulsifiers such as polyglyceryl esters of fatty acids, mono and diglycerides, microcrystalline cellulose, ethoxylated mono and diglycerides, sorbitan esters of fatty acids, glyceryl lactic esters of fatty acids, acetylated monoglycerides, polyglycerol lactic acid esters and propylene glycol monostearates or gums such as xanthan gum. |
