The present invention provides methods for the manipulation of cell differentiation comprising contacting a cell with an amount of a toporythmic protein, or with a fragment or derivative of a first toporythmic protein which fragment or derivative being able to bind to a second toporythmic protein, or with an amount of an antibody or fragment thereof containing the idiotype thereof which binds to a toporythmic protein, said toporythmic protein being effective to manipulate the differentiation of the contacted cell. |
