titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF HIGHLY CONCENTRATED PASTA IN FAT ALCCOOL SULFATE. |
abstract | Pulps highly concentrated in fatty alcohol sulphate are prepared by reacting mixtures containing a) unsaturated fatty alcohols having the formula R1-OH, in which R1 represents a linear unsaturated hydrocarbon residue having 16 to 22 carbon atoms and 1, 2 or 3 double bonds and b) saturated fatty alcohols having the formula R2-OH, in which R2 represents a straight or branched chain saturated hydrocarbon residue having 12 to 22 carbon atoms, with a mixture of sulfuric anhydrous / inert gas , in a molar ratio of between 1: 1.02 and 1: 1.3. The reaction products are then neutralized and hydrolyzed in a single step at temperatures between 50 and 90 ° C with an amount of aqueous base sufficient to obtain aqueous fatty alcohol sulfate pastes having a solids content of between 60 and 75% by weight, relative to the paste, and a viscosity of less than 10 Pa.s at 60 ° C. |
