abstract | Modified copolymers are described which can be used as additives for lubricants and which have anti-wear and viscosity improving properties.n n n They are prepared by modification of ethylene-propylene copolymers or ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymers so as to fix sulfur and phosphorus.n n n Such modified copolymers contain from 0.2 to 2% of phosphorus and from 0.4 to 4% of sulfur and are used in a lubricating composition at a rate of 0.25 to 10%. |
