titleOfInvention METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MONITORING TISSUE TREATMENT USING PULSED LASER LIGHT.
abstract The present method is for monitoring tissue processing using pulsed laser light. The laser light is supplied via a light guide (2) to the tissue to be treated. A measurement light beam reflected from the end of the light guide is fed to an analysis unit (6) picking up the intensity of the measurement light reflected in temporal relation to the laser pulse, analyzing it for determining a characteristic property of the tissue. The measuring beam is sent to the tissue, after a laser pulse, but also continuously through the light guide (2). A characteristic property of the tissue is analyzed using the reflected measurement light, namely immediately after the laser pulse.
