abstract |
The invention relates to a gas detector which contains a gas detection component, which makes it possible to measure a variation of the optical absorption and, optionally, also a variation of the electrical conductivity during its exposure to an environment containing certain gas. The gas sensing component includes a metal aromatic bis-macrocycle which may be a novel mixed rare earth metal bis-tetrabenzoporphyrin or bis-tetrabenzoazaporphyrin compound. |
