abstract |
A new process for the production of 5-chloroxindole from p-chloronitrobenzene is described. In the first stage, chloronitrobenzene is of the formula with a chloroacetic acid alkyl ester of the general formula in the presence of a base to a chloronitrobenzeneacetic acid alkyl ester of the general formula transferred, this catalytically in the second stage with hydrogen to the corresponding amine of the general formula hydrogenated and this then in the third stage in the presence of an acid to the end product according to the formula cyclized. |
