titleOfInvention MANUFACTURING METHOD OF A PADDED ELEMENT.
abstract A method of manufacturing a padded element uses a mold comprising an upper part whose inner surface corresponds to the shape of the upper surface of the padded element, and a lower part whose inner surface corresponds to the shape of the lower surface of the upholstered element. A trim liner having an exterior finish surface and an interior surface is positioned in the top of the mold such that the exterior finish surface contacts the interior surface of the top mold. A foaming liquid polymer composition is introduced into the lower part of the mold. The upper and lower parts of the mold are closed so that the foaming liquid polymer composition expands in a direction facing substantially towards the interior surface of the trim and adheres thereto. During the expansion (before and/or after closing the upper and lower parts of the mould) of the liquid foaming polymer composition, any expansion gases are exposed to the atmosphere.
