A method of purifying and recovering insulin-like growth factor-1 peptides (IGF-1), in intact, monomeric and properly folded form, from large volumes of medium containing 'IGF-1. This process involves performing a series of desorption adsorption steps using a combination of cation exchange adsorbents and hydrophobic interaction. The IGF-1 peptide produced is highly purified and suitable for a variety of clinical applications. |
