titleOfInvention | Freshness retentive for cut flower |
abstract | A freshness retentive for cut flower comprising a mixture and/or a reaction product of a silver compound with a primary amine and/or a substance related to nucleic acids. The silver compound includes nitrate, acetate and phosphate of silver. The primary amine includes methylamine, ethylamine, monoethanolamine, tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane, 2-amino-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, 2-amino-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol, α-aminoxyacetic acid and aminoethoxyvinylglycine. The substance related to nucleic acids includes nucleic acid bases, nucleosides, nucleotides, oligonucleotides, polynucleotides, purine derivatives and pyrimidine derivatives. The retentive exhibits a remarkably excellent effect of retaining the freshness of highly ethylene-sensitive cut flowers of carnation, gypsophila, sweet pea, etc., and lowly ethylene-sensitive cut flowers of chrysanthemum, rose, orchid, etc. |
