abstract |
Multilayer thermoplastic film structures comprising at least one outer layer (A) and at least one central layer (B). The layer (A) exhibits improved heat sealability after exposure to radiation (eg an electron beam). Layer (B) exhibits improved shrinkage after exposure to radiation. The layer (A) consists of a linear polyethylene having a melt index of 2 to 20 g / 10 minutes, a density of 0.88 to 0.92 g / cm3, a distribution of molecular weights (I10 / I2 ) from 5 to 8, a fraction of said polyethylene having a degree of branching less than or equal to 2 methyls / 1000 carbons not exceeding 15% by weight and a fraction of said polyethylene having a degree of branching greater than or equal to 25 methyls / 1000 carbons not exceeding 25% by weight of the polymer. The layer (B) consists of a linear polyethylene having a melt index of 0.05 to 5 g / 10 minutes, a density of 0.88 to 0.94 g / cm3 and a distribution of molecular weights (I10 / I2) from 8 to 30. |
