titleOfInvention Adaptive vision system
abstract The invention relates to methods and systems for image analysis, which serve to identify objects in the background by generating a description, which can be either a histogram or a matrix of co-occurrences, of the gray level space of the image, thanks to the use of an entropic kernel which recursively analyzes the gray level space for the candidate objects and which validates the presence of valid objects by comparing the attribute values of the candidate object with a defined set of attribute values of the valid object contained in a management program. The invention describes methods of processing in recursive, iterative and parallel mode. These methods can be used in a variety of industrial inspection techniques such as colony counting and the identification of distinct characteristics in carpets and pigmentation elements incorporated in a polymer.
