Described are plasmids having autonomous replicability in a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium which carry a selectable marker, a DNA-fragment from the E. coli lactose operon and a multiple cloning side upstream of this DNA-fragment. These plasmids are useful for the cloning of DNA-fragments responsible for gene expression control in coryneform bacteria. n Further, the invention relates to a method for preparing recombinant plasmids containing a DNA fragment essential to the expression of a gene in coryneform microorganisms. |
