abstract Materials for medical or veterinary use such as surgical sutures are coated with a special bioabsorbable blockpolyetherester to reduce the friction with the tissue. n This blockpolymer comprises a block derived from ε-caprolactone and a comonomer, preferably an α-hydroxycarboylic acid, and a poly(alkylene oxide) block. n Also described are a film or a coating for a mesh, prepared from a bioabsorbable aliphatic blockpolyetherester, for use as an adhesion prevention barrier for mammalian tissue.
