abstract Traps containing young infective nematodes used as a toxic agent are effective in reducing insect populations in various environments. The traps of the invention contain a population of young infective nematodes stable in a configuration encouraging nictation, and the trap effectively attracts cockroaches or other insects. Relative humidity is maintained in the traps by the supply of molecular water.
