titleOfInvention | Polypyrrole molding, production thereof, and secondary battery |
abstract | A polypyrrole molding for use in making a three-electrode battery comprising said molding as the positive electrode, platinum as the negative electrode, metallic lithium as the reference electrode and LiClO4 or LiBF4 as the electrolyte, said battery having such a characteristic that, when discharge and constant-potential charge are conducted at a current density of 10 mA/cm2 and at a voltage of 3.6 V, respectively, (i) at the completion of the discharge, the concentration of chlorine or fluorine in the molding is 30 % or less of that at the completion of the charge, and (ii) at the completion of the charge, the distribution of chlorine or fluorine in the thicknesswise direction of the molding is 50 % or less. This molding can be used as the electrode of a secondary battery, because it can be charged and discharged at a high current density and has a high charge/discharge capacity. |
