A method of eliminating a nematode population is described comprising applying to the locus of a nematode a sufficient amount of a compound of the formula Net-X-CH2-CH2-Ar or an oxide N, or a salt of this, to reduce a population of nematodes, in which Het is a nitrogen-containing heterocycle, for example 8-fluoroquinazolin-4-yl, X represents O, NH, or CH2; and Ar is a substituted phenyl group, for example 4- (2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy) phenyl. |
