abstract |
Transparent image recording elements contain ink receiving layers which can give an image by applying dots of liquid ink. The ink receiving layers contain a combination of: (i) a pyrrolidone vinyl; (ii) particles of a polyester, specifically poly (cyclohexylenedimethylene-co-xylylene terephthalate-co-malonate-co-sodioiminobis (sulfonylbenzoate)); (iii) a homopolymer or a copolymer of an alkylene oxide containing from 2 to 6 six carbon atoms; (iv) a polyvinyl alcohol; (v) a compound or a mixture of compounds having the general formula (I) in which R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 and R3 each represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having a carbon number from 1 to 4 or a phenyl group, and n is an integer from 1 to 10; and (vi) inert particles. A printing method using the transparent image recording elements is also described. |
